As the race for the the next governorship candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC) gets tough, supporters of Yahaya Bello and James Faleke clashed today, November 30 in Abuja.
The two groups flooding the National Secretariat of the APC came in solidarity of the candidate of their choice.
Both camps were throwing sticks at each over heated argument on who becomes the next flag bearer for the party in the election which will be concluded on Saturday, December 5.
It will be recalled that over the weekend it was reported that the APC will today officially pick Bello to conclude the Kogi gubernatorial race after the demise of Prince Abubakar Audu, in the elections that was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The leadership of the party along side the two contenders, Yahaya Bello and James Faleke are currently in a closed door meeting. Outcome shortly.
Falake, the running mate and deputy to the late APC gubernatorial candidate for Kogi state Abubakar Audu have received black-lash from the opposition over letters he wrote to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) asking that he (Falake) be declared winner of last Saturday’s election.
The spokesperson for the PDP, Oliseh Metu said Falake’s letter to INEC only makes it sound like he is celebrating his boss’s demise.
Metu also called on Falake to keep cool and stay where God has placed him.
